Making supplier delivery problems visible
Making supplier delivery performance and its effect on sales visible in one place.
Achieved results
- Identified delivery issues and improved visibility for supplier follow-up.Described without numerical claims — no verified figures were supplied for this work.
Business context
In my professional experience with supply chain and sales data, delivery reliability issues were spread across many suppliers and customer segments, and the data needed to see them lived in separate systems.
The problem
Late deliveries were affecting sales, but purchase, delivery and sales data sat in separate places. Without a shared view, supplier follow-up relied on anecdote rather than evidence.
My role
I prepared and connected the delivery and sales data, analysed delivery performance, and built reporting used to identify delivery issues and support supplier follow-up.
Investigation and approach
- 01Consolidated purchase, delivery and sales data into one model.
- 02Measured delivery performance and late orders by supplier, segment and period.
- 03Connected supplier delivery issues to the sales they affected.
- 04Delivered reporting that gave teams a shared, evidence base for supplier follow-up.
